How do you turn anger and fear, helplessness and hoplessness into action?

By participating.

Go in person to as many constituant events you can:

1. town hall

2. constituant open house

3. local government meetings

4. maximize the in person voice you have

Calling is what congresspeople pay attention to.

Republican callers generally outnumber Democrat callers and in recent years Republicans have called, and Democrats haven't.

And it is hard when calling is unfcomfortable and feels a burden of time and can feel anxiety ridden. Here are some tips to follow.

  1. call at least 2-6 representative each day

  2. have a script- whatever that long letter you wrote, simplify and make it 2-3 bullet points.

  3. when someone picks up, or if you get a voicemail

    1. state your first name, your zip code (they track that)

    2. read your specific points

    3. use your emotions, state them clearly

  4. State what you want done by that representative.
